Preparation of coated fabric

Coated fabric is a kind of textile, and the coated bonding material forms a single layer or multi-layer coating in situ on one side or the front and back sides of the fabric. It consists of two or more layers of materials, at least one of which is a textile and the other is a fully continuous polymer coating.

Direct coating

Direct coating is to flatten the fabric to form a uniform plane, and then pass under a stationary scraper.

Direct coating is mainly used to process fabrics such as nylon or polyester filament yarn.

Transfer coating

Transfer coating is to apply polymer on release paper to form a film, and then press the film on the fabric. In this method, the polymer does not contact the fabric before forming a real film.

Transfer coating is mainly used for knitted fabrics. Compared with woven fabrics, knitted fabrics have a looser structure and are easier to stretch, and direct coating technology cannot be used. Unlike direct coating, transfer coating is often used as the surface of the material.

Solidified coating

Solidified coating, also known as wet coating, is to dissolve polyurethane in a solvent, and then remove the solvent under certain conditions to form a solidified body. This material is very soft and has a porous structure, which is the basis for imitating leather.
